Visiting a dojo
Contact a local dojo or Kyudo federation first. Clothing, visitor rules and available times differ by dojo, so do not arrive for practice without checking.
Equipment and safety
You do not need to buy a bow and arrows on day one. Ask whether a goma-yumi or dojo equipment is available, and follow the instructor’s rules before entering the shooting area or releasing an arrow.
